Then we are looking for someone like you to join our team of scientists, analysts, and developers in the Lewis-Sigler Institute for Integrative Genomics.
The Research Computing group at the Lewis-Sigler Institute for Integrative Genomics provides computational research expertise and bioinformatics support to multiple labs across a diverse set of disciplines. As an institute-wide team of software experts, we are focused on improving the quality, performance, and sustainability of the Institute’s computational research software. The group is committed to creating collaborative environments in which the best software engineering practices are valued, and to sharing and applying cross-disciplinary computational techniques in new and emerging areas.
In this position, you will be an integral member of a neuroscience research team focused on the cutting-edge of transcriptomic and epigenomic research applied to understanding how experience shapes brain development and circuits. Your role will be to provide computational expertise in algorithm development, selection, and optimization to create efficient and scalable research code. In addition, you will support other projects in research labs within the Lewis-Sigler Institute for Integrative Genomics.
If you have a strong background in scientific programming, academic research, and an interest in neuroscience and genomics, you have the right skill set to make an immediate impact on multiple high-profile research projects.
This is a one-year term position with the possibility of renewal based on job performance and continued funding.
