This Senior Research Specialist position at the Institutional Antiracism and Accountability (IARA) Project, directed by Professor Khalil Gibran Muhammad, at the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs, will contribute to research and policy analysis focused on health equity and history of medicine. This position will play a key role in all aspects of the ongoing Truth, Reconciliation, Healing, and Transformation (TRHT) Archival Research Project.
The TRHT Research Project is a landmark initiative in partnership with the American Medical Association (AMA). Looking at the AMA archives in Chicago, this project examines the historical roots of racial disparities in American healthcare to develop actionable strategies for restorative justice and health equity. The Senior Research Specialist will lead the ongoing data collection, analysis, literature review, editing cycles, publication, and project coordination.
In addition, this role will work closely with the IARA Director and Associate Director to grow a vibrant network of health equity professionals and advocates, identify new opportunities for research, and strategize the dissemination of health equity research (for example, through symposia or editorial).
