The Research Specialist in the Confocal Imaging Facility (CIF) laboratory in the Department of Molecular Biology at Princeton University assists the Director in all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the facility. The Confocal Imaging Facility provides support for Princeton University faculty and student research utilizing multiple imaging modalities and a total of 14 imaging systems. The CIF provides researches with the ability to visualize a vareity of samples, from monolayers and small organisms, such as developing fly and fish embryos, to very thick sections from brain and other organ tissues. This position reports directly to the Facility Director.
ESSENTIAL
Doctorate degree in biology, biochemistry, cell biology, genetics, biotechnology or related field is required or years of equivalent experience
5 Years experience
Detail oriented
Hands-on experience with various analytical techniques such as Confocal Microscopy
PREFERRED
Knowledge of laboratory research software
Advanced ability to accurately and completely understand, follow, interpret, and apply regulatory requirements.
Advanced technical writing skills.
Advanced problem-solving ability
Ability to represent the interests of the group on cross-functional teams.
