Overview

The Witten Lab has an opportunity available for a lab manager to help organize and manage a fast-paced neuroscience research program. 

 

This is a one-year term position with the possibility of renewal based on satisfactory performance and funding.

 

Responsibilities

Lab management responsibilities will include:

  • maintaining lab supplies
  • managing safety and animal protocols
  • preparing the lab for semi-annual inspection

Other dutes and responsibilites include performing systems neuroscience research, which could involve behavioral, optogenetic, electrophysiological, and/or histological experiments; other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Bachelors in neuroscience or another quantitative discipline (e.g. physics, engineering, chemistry), and at least 3 years of experience working in a neuroscience laboratory (or related field).
