Research Specialist I/II
The lab of Prof. Sebastian Seung in the Princeton Neuroscience Institute at Princeton University is seeking a full-time Research Specialist. The specialist will apply cutting-edge neuroanatomical techniques for observing brain structure. The techniques may be experimental, such as electron microscopy, whole-brain light microscopy, viral labeling, and immunolabeling. An example of a recent publication can be found here.
The ideal candidate should have the ability to maintain professional standards; demonstrate the ability to work independently and pro-actively with limited supervision, take initiative, creative ability to solve problems and self-directed learner with strong experimental methodological abilities.
PREFERRED LABORATORY TECHNIQUES:
The position will begin immediately. Applications should include a CV and list of three references. Review of applications will continue until the position is filled. This is a one-year term position with the possibility of extension contingent upon satisfactory performance and continued funding.
